Prescript is Nigeria's first ePharmacy and prescription sourcing platform, designed to solve the challenge of medication access and affordability across the country. The platform enables patients to upload prescriptions and connect with verified pharmacies, compare prices, and receive medications through delivery or pickup.

The Challenge

The Nigerian healthcare system faces significant challenges in prescription fulfillment: fragmented pharmacy networks, lack of price transparency, concerns about medication authenticity, and limited access in remote areas. Patients often struggle to find their prescribed medications and have no way to compare prices across pharmacies.

Our Approach

Working closely with the Prescript team, HaipaTech developed a comprehensive technology solution that addresses these challenges:

• Secure Prescription Handling: Built an end-to-end encrypted system for uploading and processing prescription images, ensuring patient privacy and NDPR compliance.
• Pharmacy Matching Algorithm: Developed an intelligent matching system that connects patients with PCN-licensed pharmacies based on medication availability, location, and pricing.
• Real-time Communication: Implemented secure messaging between patients and pharmacies for quote requests and order coordination.
• Payment Integration: Integrated multiple payment gateways to support various payment methods preferred by Nigerian users.

The platform now serves patients across all 36 Nigerian states with features including:

Impact

Since launch, Prescript has partnered with over 500 pharmacies and processed more than 10,000 prescriptions, making medication access faster, safer, and more affordable for Nigerian patients.
